Happinesses Antichrist

about

This song is a deeply reflective and personal one for me and I feel that it sits perfectly within the spooky landscape and world we now live in. In a way, one we have always occupied.

It's been a strange journey up to this point. I've been sitting on this song for longer than was maybe needed, but I didn't feel like I was ready, or even had the capacity to release it from hiding. It's a song that nods in the direction of where I started, with a guitar in my bedroom, to afraid to take it any further. I haven't come that far but I think it's still important to celebrate the little achievements.

I think we can all relate to wanderlust, loneliness and the comfort of our own skin. Even feeling like we may repel happiness some days. I feel like Happiness comes when you share in your journey with other people, so I share this with you.

I hope it softens the blow of your own existential crisis. Thank you for reading another self-inflated ramble.

I would like to acknowledge the Cadigal-Wangal people of the Eora Nation. The traditional custodians of the land on which this single was recorded. I pay my respects to their elders past and present. I understand that sovereignty was never ceded.
