Here is a song.
Its called 'Taybank'.
It's raw, unpolished, imperfect, heartfelt and scared.
It's me.
It's me then and it's me now. There are mistakes, maybe they are ones only I can hear and that's okay. The time it's honouring wasn't perfect so why should the song be. I'd rather the essence be captured the way it was birthed than be poured over and distilled down to a point that it's no longer recognisable. That's a pretty pompous and pretentious thing to say but it's how I feel regarding this song.

I think it's important to honour periods of intense transformation and growth within our lives. Even if that means facing down your ugly shadow self. Wrestle it, make peace and apologise, for we are crudely made balls of matter just working it out. For all its discomfort and pleasure, honour it but don't consume it.

For a long time I've been very scared and apprehensive, still am, to release any kind of creative work. But I am learning that in order to progress as both a human and an artist I am to share & shed a little bit of my sacred self.

So if you're still reading/listening after this horribly self-inflated existential pondering, here is a song. It's called 'Taybank'. I'm happy with it and I hope you like it.
